WATERTOWN — Rain wiped out the scheduled Father’s Day stock car racing program at Casino Speedway on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
It’s the third time in seven weeks that the racing program has been cancelled due to the weather the local speedway.

The Midwest Sprint Touring Series (MSTS) and Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) sprint cars will headline the third B-Dubs Summer Slam on Sunday, June 28.
The program, which also will include Gen X late models and street stocks, is slated to open at 6 p.m.

ABERDEEN — Trevor Nelson of Warner continued his season dominance in the super stocks and Dawson Zabel of Selby won two features during the racing program on Friday, June 19.
Nelson captured his fifth super stock feature of the season at BCS. Zabel won his second Midwest modifieds feature and also won his first modifieds feature.

Dusty Mund of Lisbon (ND) won his second legends feature of the season. First-time feature winners were Thomas Weisgram of Northville, late models; and Tony Smith of Jamestown (ND), street stocks.
Area drivers who won feature races included Weisgram and Aberdeen drivers Chad Becker and Kent Arment in late models; Zabel and Todd Stark of Watertown in Midwest modifieds; Mike Stears of Aberdeen and Nate Heinrich of Bellingham (MN) in modifieds; Chris Serr and Cory Moser of Aberdeen in sreet stocks; and Stewart Schipke of Aberdeen and Mike Rohwedder of Bath in super stocks.
The field included 82 drivers (20 late models, 18 street stocks, 17 Midwest modifieds, 12 super stocks, 10 modifieds and five legends).
The NOSA/MSTS Sprint Car Special is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26. Midwest modifieds and legends will also race as well as cars from the Midwest Sprint Touring Series.

HURON — Trevor Nelson of Warner won his fourth super stock feature of the season on Saturday, June 20.
Maria Broksieck of Goodwin (street stocks) won her third feature and Josh Skorczewski of Aberdeen (late models) his second feature of the season at DSFS. Midwest modified driver Tracy Johnson recorded his first Midwest modifieds late model feature win.
Broksieck, Johnson and Nelson each also won heats in the 41-car field, which had 16 street stocks, 10 Midwest modifieds, eight late models and seven super stocks.
The Midwest Spring Touring Series Sprint Car Showdown is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m. Street stocks and Midwest modifieds will also race.

LAST WEEK’S AREA STOCK CAR RACING: Racing programs held in Watertown, Aberdeen, Huron & Madison (MN)
MADISON, MN — Ryan Flaten of Madison, MN (Midwest modiifeds) and Adam VanDeroystyne of Canby, MN (hornets) each won their third features of the season at the speedway on Saturday, June 20.
Trevor Walsh of Watertown took the checkered flag in the Gen X late models feature feature for the first time this season.
Area drivers who won heat races were Kenneth Clements (street stocks) and Soctt Tofte (Midwest modifieds) of Madison, MN; Walsh and Brodie Croninger of Watertown (Gen X late models) and VanDerostyne and Lenard Lustfield of Hendricks, MN (hornets).

A total of 92 cars were in the field (19 Midwest modifieds, 17 hornets, 15 street stocks, 13 pure stocks, 11 Gen X late models, nine modifieds and eight super stocks).
All seven regular classes of cars will race on Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m.
MONTEVIDEO, MN — Ryan Flaten of Madison (MN) won his fourth Midwest modified feature of the season during the racing program on Friday, June 19.
Area heat winners included Ian Tjaden of Boyd (MN), pure stocks; Joe Arndt of Ortonville (MN), street stocks; and Adam VanDerostyne of Canby (MN), hornets.
There were 65 cars in the field, including 20 hornets, 17 street stocks, 12 pure stocks, nine Midwest modifieds, six super stocks and one late model.

All six regular classes will be feature, along with H.O.T.R.O.D. Vintage cars during the racing program scheduled for Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m.
JUNE 9 AREA STOCK CAR RACING ROUNDUP: Casino Speedway event part of big weekend for late model drivers
FERGUS FALLS, MN — Blake Swenson of Watertown won his first Gen X late models feature of the season the speedway on Friday, June 19.
Fellow Watertown drivers Tommy Nichols (Midwest modifeds) and Trevor Walsh (Gen X late models) added heat victories during a program that feature NLRA Late Models.
The field included 33 late models, 27 Midwest modifieds, 21 hornets, 18 modifieds, 17 Gen X late models and 12 street stocks.

The Wold of Outlaw Late Models will highlight a special program on Wednesday, June 24 at 7 p.m. Midwest modifieds and street stocks will also race.
