The Browns have now been victorious in three straight games and lead the AFC North. People around the NFL are starting to talk positively about the Browns, and that of course means that Cleveland fans themselves are going to feel like they are on cloud nine a bit. Week-to-week, fan confidence increased by 15 percentage points up to 83%, a new season high. By comparison, Jets fans are not happy with their outlook, with only 18% of fans being in favor of the direction of their team.

Besides the confidence meter, the main question we asked this week was a simple Yes or No question, asking if you think the Browns will make the playoffs. Only 38% of fans said Yes, while 62% of fans said No. Based on the confidence results, you can see fans gaining traction, but it’s too early for the overall fanbase to be convinced that the Browns can make the playoffs. I was actually surprised how low the Yes vote was here, as things are looking quite optimistic for Cleveland, when you factor in their easy schedule. On the topic, one Browns fan said:
I’m not buying into this possibility until we win some games definitively, like from beginning to end. All the late game heroics coupled with the fact that this team is full of young and inexperienced players that are still adjusting (along with a new O-Line that is also still adjusting to a new team/system) tells me that this party is going to end at some point.
Another fan debated which teams we’d have to beat out for a wildcard spot:
Who might they have to beat out for a wild card to make the playoffs? Bengals, Patriots, Broncos, Raiders? Are we better then 3 of them?
On a national scale, fans were asked which team between the Browns, Giants, Vikings, and Raiders will finish with the worst record. The Browns led the way with 46% of the vote, which means that even though Cleveland has turned heads, the broader audience of fans still thinks Cleveland will fall off at some point.

According to FanDuel, the Browns are 1.5 point underdogs against the Jets this week, with the over/under being 39.5.
