Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, charged the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to stop his campaign.
Obi had vowed to end his presidential campaign if anybody can provide evidence that staff of Anambra State government were owed salaries when he left office as governor.
The NDC presidential candidate who was governor of Anambra State 2006 to 2014, said he never left any debt behind while leaving office.
Disputing this claim, the state government insisted that Obi’s administration left outstanding loans as well as arrears of salaries, pensions and gratuities inherited by subsequent administrations.
