West Kelowna RCMP say the boy is believed to have been abducted by a parent

An Amber Alert has been activated in B.C. to find four-year-old Ryan Atlas Andrews, believed to have been adducted by his mother.

The boy, who also goes by the name Atlas, was last seen on Ridge Boulevard in West Kelowna on Tuesday morning.

West Kelowna RCMP issued the Amber Alert just after midnight on Wednesday.

He is described by police as Caucasian, with brown hair and hazel-coloured eyes. He’s about three feet tall and about 51 pounds.

Police are also looking for 40-year-old Alisse Andrews, described as Caucasian with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say she’s about 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs about 120 pounds.

Police are searching for a vehicle linked to the abduction. It’s a black 2021 Nissan Qashqai with a B.C. licence plate of RV003L.

Anyone who may have seen Atlas Andrews, Alisse Andrews or her vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.

On Sunday, Langley RCMP asked for the public’s help in locating the same boy who was reported missing on July 16. At the time, police said it was believed he was travelling with his mom Alisse Andrews.

No Amber Alert was issued at that time.

Langley RCMP issued an update on Monday afternoon saying the boy had been located. The Amber Alert was issued early Wednesday.
