The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has said alcohol encourages banditry in Nigeria.
The Director-General of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, stated this on Wednesday while responding to questions during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.
According to her, the substance is dangerous to organs in the human body, such as the kidneys and liver.
She said that although the ban did not sit well with some people, Nigerians are concerned about the future of their children.
