While police were investigating Josh Jacobs following a domestic violence accusation in May, multiple other women reported similar incidents of Jacobs abusing them.

NBC 26 in Green Bay received previously unreleased files in connection with the Jacobs case from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department late Friday, and those files showed that officers heard from at least three other women who said they had been victims of violence at the hands of Jacobs.

One woman contacted police in June after hearing of Jacobs’ May arrest, saying she had been the victim of a similar incident with Jacobs years earlier and was reporting it to police for the first time because she wanted people to believe the woman accusing him in May. That woman said that in January of 2022, Jacobs slapped her across the face, grabbed her by the hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down, threw her onto the floor, spit on her and grabbed her by the throat. She also said Jacobs took her phone as she attempted to leave his home.

Another woman also contacted police later in June and said that in April of 2021, Jacobs grabbed her by the arms, pushed her against a wall near a window and threw her belongings outside the home. She said she suffered bruising to her arms and pain and swelling in her rib area. She said she had reported it to the police in a different municipality, and the records released by Hobart-Lawrence Police to NBC 26 indicate that they confirmed with another police department that it did receive that report, but Jacobs apparently was not arrested because the woman had no visible signs of injury.

A third woman told Hobart/Lawrence Police in July that in May of 2022, Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest, and took her phone. She said she suffered bruising to her arm and scratches to her chest. She said she did not report the incident to police or seek medical attention because Jacobs had told her she could be deported if she had any contact with the authorities.

Jacobs eventually pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property in connection with the May arrest. The NFL placed him on paid leave for the first six games of the season, then allowed him to play starting in Week 7. Jacobs remains subject to a potential NFL suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, and the accusations brought by the three other women could be considered by the NFL in determining league discipline.
