Nigeria have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier against Tanzania on Friday November 13, 2026.
This comes after AC Milan confirmed that Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has undergone surgery in London to repair a ruptured tensor fasciae latae tendon in his left hip.
The surgery, performed by Professor Ernest Schilders in the presence of Dr Stefano Mazzoni, was a complete success.
Chukwueze is expected to return to Italy to begin his rehabilitation.
The former Villarreal star will miss AC Milan’s clash with Ferencváros in the Europa League on Thursday.
The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Premier League club Fulham and returned to Milan in the summer.
