The Philadelphia 76ers have opened the season with eight wins in nine games, and LeBron James believes their success starts with something that doesn’t show up in the box score. The veteran superstar pointed to the team’s locker room chemistry as a major reason Philadelphia has found its rhythm so quickly.

While the Sixers boast plenty of individual talent, James believes their relationships have made the transition easier. His comments reflect the importance of building chemistry alongside Tyrese Maxey and the rest of Philadelphia’s roster.
“We’ve got a good team. Guys vibe with one another, guys like each other, guys enjoy being around each other,” James said, according to Derek Bodner’s post on X.

“That has a lot to do with it too. It makes the game a lot easier when you enjoy being around people.”
James’ remarks suggest Philadelphia’s early momentum isn’t simply about putting talented players together. Having teammates who genuinely enjoy each other’s company can make communication easier, especially when adjustments are needed during games.

That connection becomes particularly valuable for a roster still developing its identity. Players must understand their responsibilities, share opportunities, and remain comfortable trusting one another when possessions become difficult.
James has spent more than two decades in the NBA, experiencing different locker rooms and championship environments. His perspective carries weight as Philadelphia attempts to translate its promising start into sustained success.
The Sixers have also received encouraging contributions from their supporting cast, allowing their stars to share offensive responsibilities.
Still, an 8-1 record guarantees nothing in a long NBA season. Philadelphia will face tougher stretches that test the chemistry James currently praises.
