Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo has figured out the new era of recruiting, being on a bit of a recruiting ‘heater’ over the past few cycles, and he is looking to do it again in 2027. Casting a decently large net, one of the prospects has zoned in on is Jaxson Davis.
Davis, a 6-foot-1 guard from Gurnee, Ill., has an official visit scheduled to MSU on Oct. 1. He is who Izzo is eyeing to be the point guard of the recruiting class. Davis currently ranks as the No. 35 overall player and the No. 10 point guard in the recruiting class as a 4-star.

On Saturday, Davis announced his top six schools, cutting his list to a great group of finalists that include Michigan State:

Ohio State
Other than the visit to Michigan State, Davis will be making a trip to Iowa in September.
