A few familiar faces could use their standout springs to get themselves to the summer.
Bleacher Report recently highlighted eight UFL stars who NFL fans should get acquainted with ahead of 2026 training camp. Of those tabbed is a trio of former Carolina Panthers, starting with quarterback and newly-crowned Most Valuable Player Jack Plummer.

Analyst Kristopher Knox writes:
The 26-year-old made the most of his UFL opportunity, completing 65 percent of his passes for 2,188 yards and 17 touchdowns en route to an 8-2 record, a playoff berth, and league MVP honors.
“His leadership, his ability to process information and to make plays at any moment made him the most valuable player in the UFL,” Storm head coach Anthony Becht said, per TheUFL.com.
Now that Plummer has earned some valuable pro starting experience, he should get another opportunity to develop on an NFL roster or practice squad.
Plummer began his pro career with the Panthers, as an undrafted free-agent signee two years ago. He stuck on in Carolina until the summer of 2025, when he was waived after preseason play.
Knox goes on to include outside linebacker Cam Gill, who appeared in 10 games for the Panthers in 2024. Gill amassed a UFL-leading 10.0 sacks en route to being named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Wideout Hakeem Butler also made the list after reeling in 29 receptions for 641 yards and three scores. The 2019 fourth-round pick spent part of the 2020 offseason with the Panthers.

Butler, now a two-time Offensive Player of the Year in the UFL, has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Plummer and Gill should be getting some looks from the NFL as well.
