Democratic Republic of Congo U-23 head coach Guy Bukasa has named a 26-man squad for his team’s 2027 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations second round qualifying encounter against Nigeria.
The squad features nine foreign-based players, while the remaining 17 were selected from clubs in the Congolese domestic league.
Bukasa has retained the core of the team that secured a 2-1 aggregate victory over Mauritania in the previous qualifying round.
DR Congo will host Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles in the first leg at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi next Friday.
The return leg is scheduled to take place at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Tuesday, November 17.
The winner of the two-legged encounter will advance to the third qualifying round, where they will face either Burkina Faso or Sierra Leone.
