2027: APC names Wike, Adeleke, Soludo in presidential campaign council

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has included Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, and governors Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State in its revised Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

The expanded council, which will be chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also features Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, former Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun, former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo.

Wike has been assigned to coordinate Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Rivers State and the FCT, while Adeleke will oversee the campaign in Osun State.

In a statement, APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, confirmed that the campaign council would be inaugurated on Wednesday October 14, 2026, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Oborevwori was named Director of Finance, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Zacch Adedeji, chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), will coordinate fundraising for the campaign.

Other prominent figures on the revised list include Presidential Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, and former House of Representatives member Patrick Obahiagbon.

The council also features former Osun APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, former APC National Legal Advisers Dr Muiz Banire and Babatunde Ogala, Chief Ayiri Emami, Victor Giadom, Magnus Abe, and former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel.
