Gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has expressed concern that the party has stayed out of government in the state for too long.
Alli noted that as a result of this, the APC is working tirelessly to reclaim the state in 2027.
The APC candidate spoke during the inauguration of Oyo State chapter of PBAT Door-to-Door Movement.
DAILY POST reports that the event, which held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan, was attended by hundreds of APC chieftains and members.
Alli urged APC members to work for the interest of the party so as to form the next government in the state from 2027.
He also appealed to eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.
“We have stayed out of government in Oyo State for too long, and we are working assiduously to ensure we take over the government in 2027.
“We want to assure you that not only are we going to get Mr President re-elected, we will also ensure that we elect all our National Assembly and state House of Assembly members,” Alli said.
