Flamingos head coach, Akeem Busari, has revealed how his team will approach their encounter with Japan.
Nigeria will face Japan in the final of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup at Mohammed VI Football Complex Pitch 3 on Saturday in Morocco.
Busari’s side head into the game after beating Brazil 3-1 in the semi-final, while Japan defeated North Korea.
Speaking ahead of the encounter in Rabat, Busari said Nigeria would approach the final in the same way they did against North Korea.
Recall that Nigeria defeated North Korea 3-1 in their group-stage encounter.
“It’s just about showing the same character and playing the same way we played against North Korea, because they play with the same philosophy,” Busari said via FIFA’s website.
“They want to build the ball, they look at the high line of passes, they want their full-backs to support, so we really want to look at all that. We just really want to pick up the trophy.”
