Flamingos head coach, Akeem Busari has told his team to stay grounded and finish the job as they face Japan in today’s 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Morocco.
Nigeria are the first African team to reach the U-17 Women’s World Cup final, but Busari insists “the job is not yet done” against a Japan side that reached the decider via a penalty shootout win over North Korea.
Busari urged Flamingos to put the icing on the cake by beating Japan in the final and also be focused during the encounter.
“It is just for us to concentrate, let’s put the icing on the cake,” Busari said at his pre-match interview.
“let’s be focused and let’s finish the job because the job is not yet done.”
