Front Row Motorsports could have an opening in its 2027 NASCAR Cup Series driver lineup. While Zne Smith and Todd Gilliland are likely to return next year, Noah Gragson hasn’t had the same results, sitting 29th in the point standings. In fact, two drivers have been linked to Front Row Motorsports in the Cup Series.
FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass floated the question of whether Front Row Motorsports would promote Layne Riggs or Chandler Smith to the Cup Series in his latest silly season article. Riggs and Smith, who both drive for hte organization in the NASCAR Truck Series, have impressed over the last year and a half.

Gragson has only one top-10 finish in the 2026 NASCAR season and hasn’t shown the same speed as Gilliland and Smith. In fact, the driver of the No. 38 car impressed at the Coca-Cola 600 with amazing speed. It may depend on sponsorship, but Riggs or Smith could move to the No. 4 car in 2027.
