As we all know, the cup has its own rules. And they often produce upsets, both big and small. Third-division sides SG Sonnenhof Großaspach and RW Essen are currently threatening to spring just such a cup surprise.
While RWE lead multiple cup winners RB Leipzig 1-0 and have a man advantage, Großaspach have fought back from 2-0 down after conceding twice early on against FC Augsburg and are daring to dream. And this is only their fourth appearance in the competition.

Mainz 05 are a third Bundesliga side trailing, against VfL Bochum. A win for the second-division side would probably be slightly less surprising, though.
The cup is serving up plenty of drama once again. Just how much remains to be seen over the final 20 minutes.
