The death of Oscar Schmidt, a basketball legend, had an impact on the football world this Friday (17).
According to GE, Oscar suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on Thursday (16) and was taken to Santa Ana Municipal Hospital and Maternity (HMSA), but did not survive.

“Holy Hand” had a strong connection with football. He supported Santos until he was 38 years old (and had great admiration for Fluminense).
Later, however, Oscar Schmidt won a title with Corinthians’ basketball team and became a supporter of TimĂŁo.
He also played for clubs such as Palmeiras and Flamengo and, of course, made history with the Brazilian national team.
