Here are the biggest stories this Saturday morning.
Emiliano “Dibu” Martinez told Olé about his ordeal following a serious finger injury sustained in the Europa League final. The Argentine goalkeeper explained that he played through severe pain and against medical advice, with doctors telling him he needed around ten weeks to recover and would require surgery.
According to Martinez’s own account to Olé, the injury also cost him a move to Juventus. The goalkeeper explained that his condition reportedly caused the transfer to collapse, while at Chelsea he apparently continued playing despite the pain and the need for surgery.
Milan are preparing fresh investment in the transfer market. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport and Fabrizio Romano, Amorim’s priority is a centre-back who is strong both defensively and in building play: the leading candidate remains Sporting’s Gonçalo Inacio, valued at around €40–45 million and already admired by the coach.

The Rossoneri are also looking to strengthen their attack: Endrick remains a target favoured by Cardinale, although Real Madrid do not appear willing to let him leave in January. For the centre-forward role, Club Brugge’s Nicolò Tresoldi remains of interest, with a move potentially becoming a more concrete possibility next summer.
Inter are already looking ahead to the January transfer window, with Federico Chiesa emerging as a potential opportunity. As reported by TMW, the forward is getting little playing time at Liverpool, and a return to Italy cannot be ruled out: a loan with an option to buy is among the possible arrangements.
Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco is close to extending his contract until 2031. Looking to the future on the flank, Inter are also tracking Shakhtar Donetsk’s Pedrinho, whom the Ukrainian club value at around €25 million.
There is positive news on the injury front for Napoli. According to Corriere dello Sport, David Neres is stepping up his recovery and could return to the squad as early as the clash with Lazio, the final league game before the break. However, no risks will be taken at Castel Volturno.

Alisson Santos and Favasuli face slightly longer waits. Both are progressing well in their respective recoveries, but they are not expected to rejoin the group until after the break. Allegri could therefore have three important players back within a few weeks, giving him more options to rotate his squad.
A behind-the-scenes transfer story has emerged involving Roma and Jonathan Rowe, who was eventually signed by Atalanta for a €5 million loan fee, a €30 million obligation to buy and a further €5 million in bonuses. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Gasperini had identified the Englishman as an ideal signing to strengthen the Giallorossi.
Roma subsequently opened talks for Rowe, with Tony D’Amico spending considerable time on negotiations without managing to complete the deal. At that point, Atalanta swooped in to make the most expensive signing in their history, while the Giallorossi had to give up on their target.
Kenneth Taylor’s performances for Lazio have reportedly attracted Premier League interest. According to TransferFeed, as reported by LaLazioSiamoNoi, Brighton and Bournemouth have set their sights on the Dutch midfielder, who has shone in the last two league games with two goals and an assist.

Both clubs could make a move as early as January, with Bournemouth reportedly also considering Taylor as a potential successor to Alex Scott. The former Ajax player would generate a substantial profit for Lazio, but the club are unlikely to want to part with one of the most important players in Gattuso’s team.
Fiorentina could face serious competition in the race for Kristian Thorstvedt. As reported by calciomercato.it, Lazio have reportedly joined the chase for the Sassuolo midfielder, who was already on the Viola’s radar and came close to moving to Florence last summer.
The Norwegian’s contract expires in June 2027 and, without an extension, he could become an appealing free-transfer opportunity. Fiorentina could renew their pursuit as early as January, but Lazio have reportedly already contacted his representatives, who are open to talks.
