Federico Dimarco put Inter ahead, before Federico Bernardeschi equalised and Tommaso Pobega saw Bologna in front just before half-time.
Piotr Zielinski‘s own goal made it 3-1 early in the second half, before Pio Esposito reduced the deficit just after the hour and then Diouf struck with four minutes left.
In Saturday’s evening kick-off, Lazio won 2-1 at bottom side Pisa.
