IOWA CITY — Class of 2027 defensive back Jonathan Harris has committed to Iowa football, he announced June 8.
Harris, who attends Brother Rice High School in Illinois, is a 3-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Harris, who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, received offers from Sacramento State, Missouri State, Western Illinois, Butler and Chicago State. Harris recently visited Iowa and earned an offer from the Hawkeyes.
Harris was a part of Brother Rice’s Class 7A state championship team in 2025.

Harris is the second defensive back to commit to Iowa in the 2027 high school class, joining fellow Illinois product Jake Thies. Thies, who attends Fenwick High School, is also a 3-star prospect.
Harris is the second prospect to announce his commitment to the Hawkeyes in as many days. Defensive lineman Bariyus Allen made his pledge to the Hawkeyes public on June 7. Allen, who attends Belmont High School in Ohio, is a 3-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite.
